SATYR wines are made by internationally acclaimed winery SILENI ESTATES, located near Hastings in Hawke's Bay on the east coast of the North Island of New Zealand. Established in 1997 by the Avery and Edmond's families, the recently launched SATYR by Sileni range is named after the older vintage deities of Bacchus the God of Wine, who had wise and loyal companions known as the Sileni (or Satyr) who loved to celebrate good wine, good food and good company.
SATYR wines are made from grapes sourced from Hawke's Bay and Marlborough and are handcrafted by Sileni's team of experienced Winemakers to produce rich, soft ad approachable wines of exceptional quality. Sileni Estates modern state-of-the-art winery, headed by Chief Winemaker Grant Edmonds, is committed to maintaining high standards in environmentally sustainable viticulture and winemaking and have an enviable record in producing awarding winning, internationally recognised wines.
